Another wild Friday night at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas. Reno-based bro Loren Klein won his second-career WSOP bracelet with a victory in Event #41 $1,500 PLO. Klein is closing in on $1.5M in career winnings at the WSOP. Also, over in Event #42, Dmitry Yurasov from Russia won the $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed Championship. Yurasov binked $776K for his first win.
Things always get weird when the weekends arrive in Las Vegas. At the 2017 WSOP, two more bracelets were handed out. Loren Klein, a pro from Reno, Nevada, won his first bracelet last summer and followed up with another win this year. Klein shipped Event #41 $1,500 PLO for a $231K score. Meanwhile, over in Event #42 $10K NL 6-Handed, another Russian prevailed. Dmitry Yurasov defeated Tommy Chen heads-up to win the bling and $776K in cash. The regaulr in high roller events in Europe finally stepped into the spotlight in Vegas.
Event #41 $1,500 PLO - Final Results
Before he became a cookie-inspired meme, T.J. Cloutier had some impressive PLO skills. The Texas-based legend was making a mini-comeback of sorts this summer with several impressive deep runs. Cloutier nearly missed another final table when he bubbled out in tenth place.
Not an easy final table for Loren Klein. That Yellowsub fellow, Jeff Williams, finished in fourth place. The Scandi went out sixth.
Min-cash king Tony Cousineau went deep... again. He finished in 23rd place.
Notables who went deep included... Jeff Lisandro, Ludovic Lucay, Cesar Garcia, David Williams, Kyle Bowker, Tom Chambers, Jeanmarc Thomas, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Joe Cada, Tyler Patterson, and Hoyt Corkins.
This win marked a second-career bracelet for Klein, who shipped one last summer.
