An accountant from North Carolina outlasted a pro-heavy final table to win Event #37 $1,000 NL. Thomas Reynolds from Raleigh, North Carolina won his first bracelet and $292K in cash. All hail the Limit Master! Joe McKeehen took down Event #38 $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship. The former WSOP Main Event champ won his second-career bracelet.
Three bracelets. Wild Wednesday at the Rio. Nadar Kakhmazov defeated American online exile Chris 'Big Huni' Hunichen to win Event #36 $5,000 NL 6-Handed. That win marked a second victory by a Russian in the last week or so.
Tom Reynolds, 62-year old accountant from North Carolina, faded a field of 2,020 runners to win Event #37 $1,000 NL. He earned $292K in cash and defeated a difficult final table that featured 3-time bracelet winner Michael Gathy from Belgium.
And remember LHE? Well, former WSOP Main Event Champion and loather of fakepokernews, Joe McKeehen, won Event #38 $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship. He defeated Jared Talarico heads-up for the win. Daniel Negreanu went deep but missed the final table when he busted in 13th place.
Event #36 $5,000 NL 6-Handed - Final Results
Another tough-as-balls final table. Faraz Jaka was the leader with six to go, followed by Kemmy Hallaert. Alas, it was the Russian who would go on to win.
Nadar Kakhmazov picked off American online exile Big Huni heads-up for the win. Chris Hunichen earned a runner-up payday worth $358K. Belgium's Kenny Hallaert finished in third place. Fan favorite Faraz Jaka busted in fifth place. Sam Soverel took Germany's Christian Rudolph busted first at the final table when he went out in sixth place.
James Obst bubbled off the final table in seventh place. Garrett Greer went busto in eighth place.

Daniel Negreanu took another stab at a bracelet. Alas, Danny Boy has come up all donuts through 38 events. Yes, Kid Poker intended on winning at least one bracelet. He has numerous prop bets, plus his daily intentions on the line. Negreanu went on another deep run, but he could not pull this one off. Kid Poker's magic wore out when he busted in 13th place and missed the final table.
Instead, former WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen went on to win Event #38. The victory marked a second WSOP bracelet for McKeehen. He also passed $10M in career WSOP earnings with the $312K score.
Tom McCormick bubbled off the final table in tenth place. The final table for the 10K LHE was stacked. Terrence Chan, who is a LHE master in addition to MMA fighting, finished in eighth place. Ray Henson took seventh. JC Tran went out in fifth. Ben Yu was trying to win two bracelets this week, But he had to settle on a fourth-place finish. Sorrel Mizzi finished in third place, setting upa heads-up bout between Jared Talarico and Joe McKeehen.
