Heck of a name and a heck of a run for Nathan Gamble. The Texan now living in Hawaii shipped his first-ever bracelet at the 2017 WSOP. Gamble won Event #46 PLO8 and faded a field of 830 runners to earn a payday worth $223K.
Sometimes you have one of those perfect surnames for poker. Just ask Chris Moneymaker. Of course, Nathan Gamble not only had a perfect poker name...but he also had some game of his own. Gamble won Event #46 $1,500 PLO8 to win the only bracelet awarded on Sunday night at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas. Gamble added his name to an illustrious list of 2017 bracelet winners and gave a heartwarming post-victory interview in which he dedicated the win to his poker-loving father.

Ship it to Gamble! Moments after Nathan Gamble took down Event #46, he dedicated the bracelet to his father... a long-time poker fan and supporter of tournament poker. Touching tribute for a man with an amazing last name.
"My Dad put together tournaments, just home game and has always supported me in this," explained Gamble during his post-victory interview with the media. "Honestly, he doesn't have a chance of getting one. So, this one goes to him. It means the world to me."
Nathan Gamble outlasted 830 runners to win the PLO8 title. Gamble picked off Adam Hendrix heads-up for the win. Ray Henson went busto in third place. Michael Gross took fourth. Wendy Weissman made the final table, but she busted first in ninth place.
