Poker definition

A situation in hold'em when two players' hole cards contain the same high card, but their lower cards, or “kickers” differ in value.

Example

For example, if Player A holds Carte AsCarte Dame and Player B holds Carte AsCarte 9, Player B's hand is dominated. Winning with a dominated hand is particularly difficult, because even if you flop top pair, you are still an underdog.
