Poker definition

The likelihood an opponent folds multiplied by the gain in equity they receive if the player does fold. This applies to short stacks (more so in tournaments, but it can also be applied to short-stacks in cash games) because bigger stacks can afford to call shorter stacks with a wider range of mediocre and marginal hands. Thus, the smaller a player's stack gets, the less fold equity he has.
