I secretly love a good slow roll, so long as it happens to a villain. In this case, the mouthy, annoying, won't-ever-stop-yapping William Kassouf got involved in a slow roll... except he was the one issuing the sick slow roll. Ouch. It occurred last week during a taping of Live at the Bike. If you don't know, Live at the Bike is one of the oldest poker live streams on the intertubes. The gang at the Bile had been streaming cash games before everyone got broadband!
In the most-recent episode of Live at the Bike, the $5/$5 NL cash game featured William Kassouf. Love him or hate him (most folks hate him), Kassouf became a polarizing figure during the 2017 WSOP Main Event due to his incessant chatter and his instance on slowing down the game with said chatter. Kassouf missed the November Nine, but he finished 17th place in the Main Event and made a name for himself along the way.
Kassouf appeared on Live at the Bike's cash game stream. Kassouf held pocket sixes against Derek's stronger pair of eights. However, Kassouf flopped a monster with quad sixes. Derek got coolered big time when he flopped a full house -- eights over sixes. Both players checked the flop and one of their opponents even had the balls to steal the pot with Jack-high! Hilarity and nut-punching ensues. It was really one of the most annoying slow rolls in the history of poker. It's one thing to ham it up for the cameras to spice up a TV program, but it's another to just ignore all etiquette. But, that's how Kassouf plays his game.
Tough beat, Derek. Tough beat, brah. You can tell this one for the rest of your life without anyone giving you guff for it.
