The 2017 PCA is here! Ooops, sorry. The 2017 PokerStars Championship in the Bahamas is underway! This event marks the brand new branding for PokerStars; global events. The PokerStars Championship in the Bahamas kicks off today. Over the next nine days, there will be over 90 events and side events. Not to mention lots of other festivities, while poker players from the farthest corners of the globe will first-hand learn how tilting “island time” can really be. Plus, it's the annual gouging of the poker community as the locals in the Bahamas jack up prices on food, liquor, beverages, and all the other party favors that make life worth living.
The Main Event has a $5,000 buy-in and that starts on January 8 and will run through the 14th. There will also be a pair of High Roller events. The first has a modest buy-in worth $25,750, while the big one is a $100K affair.
