Friday night in Las Vegas. One bracelet event on the line. Event #55 $1,500 Seven-card Stud played down to its champion. Tom Koral pulled off one of the sickest come-from-behind wins in the recent history of the WSOP. He rallied from a 20-1 chip deficit to defeated Tsong Lin heads-up for the bracelet.
Sometimes it takes you a decade or more to finally achieve your goal. Ever since he was old enough to legally gamble in casinos, Tom Koral dreamed of winning a WSOP bracelet. Despite numerous visits to Las Vegas to chase his dream, Koral came short of the mark... every summer. Until now. Koral finally fulfilled one of his career goals: win a bracelet. Koral faded a field of nearly 300 Stud enthusiasts to win his first-ever bracelet by binking Event #55 $1,500 Seven-card Stud.

Tom Koral, such a boss! Wild Friday night at the Rio. Maybe it was the moon phase or something, but Tom Koral rallied from behind to win Event #55.
With two to go, Tsong Lin held nearly an unfathomable 20-1 edge over Tom Koral. And then the worst-case scenario occurred... Lin coughed up the lead and Koral went on a rush of a lifetime. Lin's chance to win quickly faded. Koral's run ended with him hoisting the bling over his head.
Koral won his first-ever bracelet and $97K in cash.
China's Yueqi Zhu busted in third place. Austria's Alex Fruend went out in fourth place. Joseph Cappello bubbled the final table in ninth place.
Notables who went deep in the Stud event included... Ian Johns, Alex Lukyanov, Andre Akkari, MArcel Luske, Peter Eichardt, Al Barbieri, Dan Heimiller, Chris Vitch, Bryan Slick, Adam Owen, Jameson Painter, and Eric Buchman.
