Brazil's Eduardo Rodrigues won his first bracelet in Event #20 $1,500 MONSTER STACK NL Freezeout. Ukraine's Andrii Derzhypilskyi took down Event #19 $840 6-Handed Bounty NL. Russia's Radmir Sadirov binked Event #18 $5,000 Short Deck Championship and outlasted a tough final table.
Add four more players to the World Series of Poker history books. The 2021 WSOP Online continued with the international leg of the WSOP at GGPoker, where a global collection of players were able to score their first piece of WSOP bling.
If you host it, they will come! WSOP Online Event #20 $400 COLLOSUS NL attracted a ridiculous filed of 10,903 runners. They generated a prize pool that went north of $4 million and was nearly $4.1 million. The final table for the COLLOSUS included Damian Salas from Argentina, who was the 2020 WSOP Main Event Champion after winning the hybrid event and heading to Vegas to win a heads-up joust. The rest of the final table featured Armando D'avanzo, Kosuke “PXR-51” Tajima, Mirko “25Ezekiel17” Numerato, Kenneth Smaron, Tarun "AreYouAhead" Goyal, Diego “Shereka” Spataro, Mathieu “Le_C0lombbi1” Giabiconi, and Guillermo “Come on!!” Gordo. Salas busted in ninth place, which paid out nearly $41K.
Japan's Kosuke 'PXR-51' Tajima and Damian Salas were heads-up for the title. Tajima suffered a wicked bad beat on the final hand when aces were snapped off by a king-high flush. D'avanzo flopped it too to knock out Tajima and win the title.
Meanwhile, 2021 WSOP Event #20 $1,500 MONSTER STACK NL Freezeout attracted 1,080 runners and a prize pool worth $1.5 million. Italian pro Dario Sammartino headllined the final table that also included Eduardo "Ghazbaran" Rodrigues, Jerecho “choleeek89” Caballero, Thomas “zizelux” Harvey, Renato Valentim, Romain "Flingue" Dours, Chris "AIR-JORDAN" Karambinis, Lee "SON_7" Jinhyang, and Karolis "Internecik" Sereika.
With three players to go, Eduardo Rodrigues won a crazy pot and knocked out two players in the same hand to emerge the victor. Rodrigues' outflopped Sammartino's pocket tens and Jerecho 'choleeek89' Caballero's Ace-trey. Caballero missed a Wheel draw and hit the rail in third place, while Sammartino settled on a runner-up finish, which paid out $159,588. Not too shabby, eh? Rodrigues banked nearly $213K for the victory and the bling. Chalk up another bracelet win for Brazil.
2021 WSOP Event #19 $840 6-Handed Bounty NL attarcted 2,053 entrants and a prize pool worth over $1.6 million. The final table included a couple of more players from Brazil. The final table for Event #19 featured Andrii Derzhypilskyi, Luciano Hollanda, Silvio "valterzao" Costa, Eder "BlueMoon" Campana, Ivan "Im44bet" Ciursin, Kelvin Kerber, and Karolis "Internecik" Sereika.
It was Brazil and the Ukraine heads up for the bracelet, but this time, the Brazilians settled on second place. Luciano Hollanda busted in second place and banked $88,466 including over $66K in bounties. Ukraine's Andrii Derzhypilskyi emerged as the victory with a total score worth $154,322 including nearly $67K in bounties.
2021 WSOP Event #18 $5,00 Short Deck Championship attracted 144 runners and a prize pool worth $684,000. The stacked final table included Sam Greenwood, Dario Sammartino, Daniel Dvoress, Joao Vieira, Yen-Liang Yao, Mukoro Gberevbie, and Radmir 'KOPOBA' Sadirov. It was Sadirov who was the last player standing with a wire-to-wire victory to snag the bracelet and a first-place prize worth $169,111.
