The 2021 World Series of Poker will run a full slate of live bracelet events starting this fall. The 2021 WSOP returns to the Rio Casino in Las Vegas starting September 30 and running through November 23. The $10,000 buy-in WSOP Main Event begins with four flights starting November 4. The WSOP Online series also returns this summer for both US and international players. Plus, the 2021 WSOP Europe returns to the King's Casino in Roz Vegas between November 19 and December 8.

The World Series of Poker officially announced the dates for multiple events including the 2021 WSOP in Las Vegas, the 2021 WSOP Europe in RozVegas, and the 2021 WSOP Online at WSOP.com and GGPoker. Last year's WSOP was postponed and eventually cancelled, sort of, until the suits announced a controversial WSOP Main Event, won by Damian Salas, to close out 2020.
The traditional WSOP returns to the Rio Casino in Las Vegas, but the dates were pushed back from the summer to the fall of 2021. This will be the final WSOP at the Rio before the suits move the WSOP to the new Caesars convention center on the Strip.
The full details have yet to be released, but the suits gave us a few teases and an official date. The 2021 WSOP begins on September 30 and will run all October and most of November. The WSOP Main Event Championship, the most prestigious 10K tournament in the world, will commence on November 4 with four starting flights. The WSOP Main Event will conclude on November 17 when they crown a new champion.
There's a special and new branded event called The Reunion, which has a $5 million guaranteed prize pool and will kickoff during the opening weekend.
"This year, more than ever, we embrace our role at the WSOP to deliver memorable experiences and bring this community of poker lovers back together," said WSOP head honcho Ty Stewart. "In 2021, the theme is, get vaccinated and get back to Vegas."
Last summer with the pandemic still raging and casino shut down in Las Vegas, the suits at the WSOP decided to move the series online at WSOP.com and GGPoker. Americans, in New Jersey and Nevada, had a chance to play legit bracelet events at WSOP.com. Then they gave international players a shot at WSOP bling at GGPoker. The WSOP Online was a huge success monetary wise, so the suits decided to do it again with the 2021 version of the WSOP Online. Many purists think that online WSOP events should not be bracelet events (yes, and I'm an old-school purist that thinks there should be a different way to designate online WSOP champions... like with a golden hoodie... similar to how the Masters awards green jackets to their winners).
The WSOP will release all the details for the 2021 WSOP Online in a couple of weeks.
Oh, and do not forget about the triumphant return of the WSOP Europe. The 2021 WSOP Europe features 15 events and returns to the King's Casino in RozVegas starting November 19 and running through December 8.
"We hope and anticipate travel restrictions will ease by the fall," said Ty Stewart. "It's important to us that we have an excellent tournament schedule available to our European players."
The 2021 WSOP Europe will have the marquee Main Event, plus a €50K High Roller. Stay tuned for more details and info.
