The latest installment of the PokerGo Cup is in full swing in Las Vegas with eight high roller events, and four are in the books. Several familiar faces returned to the winner's circle at the Aria Casino, and one pro secured his first PokerGo Tour title.
The 20024 PokerGo Cup kicked off with Event #1 $5,100 NL. The opening event had 111 entrants who generated a prize pool worth $555,000. The top 16 places paid out with $141,525 set aside to the champion.
Among the players who cashed in the first event included Jeremy Becker, Jonathan Little, Joris Ruijs, Stoyan Madanzhiev, Alex Conon, Matt McEwan, LuckyChewy, Brian Luo, Eri Seidel, and Farah Galfond.
David Peters outlsugged a final table that included Mark Ioli, Shawn Danils, Fabaian Quoss, Dusti Smith, and Cody Daniels. Peters picked off Ioli heads-up for the title and $141K for first place.
PokerGo Cup Event #2 $10,100 NL attracted 89 runners who created a prize pool worth $890,000. The top 13 places paid out with $240,300 set aside to the champion.
The final table of Event #2 included David Coleman, Mike Watson, Anthony Hu, Byron Kaverman, Daniel Smiljkovic, and Dylan Weisman. Smiljkovic and Weisman were the final two standing, but Weisman emerged as the victory. First place paid out $240,300 and 240 PGT points.
Some of the familiar faces who cashed in Event #2 included Morten Klein, Alex Foxen, Joris Ruijs, Dyland Linde, Brian Luo, Stanley Weng, and Jim Collopy.
PokerGo Cup Event #3 $10,100 NL attracted 85 runners and a prize pool worth $850,000. The top 13 places paid out. Daniel Negreanu busted in seventh place. Other notable players who cashed included Johnny World Hennigan, Jeremy Ausmus, Brian Luo, Joey Weissman, Stoyan Madanzhiev, and Jeremy Becker.
The final table of Event #3 included Dan Shak, Alex Foxen, Jonathan Little, Jesse Lonis, Daniel Weinand, and Brock Wilson. Little snagged his first PGT title and banked $229,500 and 230 PGT points for his win.
PokerGo Cup Event #4 $10,100 NL attracted 81 runners and a prize pool worth $810,000. Only the top 12 places paid out. Among those who fell short of the final table and cashed included Brock Wilson, Kritsen Foxen, Richard Collins, Justn Saliba, Joelle Weinand, and Erik Seidel.
The final table included Carey Katz, Stoyan Madanzhiev, Aran Zobian, Chino Rheem, Jeremy Ausmus, and Jesse Lonis. Katz and Stoyan Madanzhiev slugged it out heads-up for the title, and Katz was the last player standing. Katz earned a first-place payout worth $226,800 and 227 PGT points.
With his victory in Event #4, Katz moved into third overall on the PokerGo Cup leaderboard. Little leads everyone with 252 points, and Weisman is in second with 240.
