Adrian Mateos, a Winamax sponsored player from Spain, outlasted a field of 948 to win the 2019 partypoker Live MILLIONS World Bahamas. A three-way chop secured $1,162,805 for Mateos, who outlasted a final table that included Chris Hunichen and Peter Jetten. It's been a good week at the Casino Baha Mar for Mateos, who also shipped a Super High Roller event for two titles in the Bahamas.

When you're hot, you're hot… especially down in paradise surrounded by sunshine, crystal blue waters and white sand and scantily clad women with umbrella rum drinks. Spanish pro Adrian Mateos won two events in the Bahamas during partypoker's 2019 Caribbean Poker Party, which also happened to be hosting the latest stop on the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS World tour.
Suffice to say, it's been a kick-ass holiday in the Caribbean for Mateos who banked over $1.6 million at the Casino Baha Mar in the Bahamas over the weekend by winning the anchor Main Event Championship and taking down a Super High Roller.
Mateos beat the best of the best in the SHR and he faded a huge field of semi-donks in the Main Event to see his career earnings balloon over $19.4 million. He's the all-time money winner in Spain and he's still a kid.
So the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS World Bahamas Main Event had a buy-in of $10,300. The $10 million guarantee kicked in for the Main Event. The overlay occurred because only 948 players were in the mix. The top 135 places paid out. In this instance, the final three arranged a money chop.
The final table of the MILLIONS World Bahamas Main Event included Adrian Mateos (Spain), Aaron Van Blarcum, Chris Hunichen, Scott Wellenbach, William Blais, Oleg Mandzjuk, Peter Jetten, Gregory Baird.
The final three -- Van Blarcum, Hunichen, and Mateos -- agreed upon a money chop.
Chris Hunichen busted in third place, but took home a shade over a cool million with $1,097,175 according to terms of the deal.
Van Blarcum and Mateos got heads-up for the title. Alas, it was meant to be for Mateos and Van Blarcum hit the bricks in second place.
For a runner-up finish, Van Blarcum earned $970,000. Not too shabby, eh?
Mateos earned the proverbial lion's share worth $1,162,8-5for going the distance and binking his second event at the Casino Baha Mar.
Over the weekend, Mateos won the $25,500 buy-in MILLIONS World Bahamas Super High Roller for $520,000 after fading a field of 125 runners. This event had a $2 million guarantee, but the total prize pool topped $3.1 million.
Mateos' final table in the SHR included Brock Wilson, Niall Farrell, and Benjamin Pollak. Mateos chopped this one but he picked off Brock Wilson heads-up to win $520K.
Notables who cashed in the MILLIONS World Bahamas SHR included Darren Elias, Kristen Bicknell, Mike Zhang, Jeremy Ausmus, Davidi Kitai, Rainer Kempe, Chris Jetten, Sean Winter, and Elio Fox.
