At the first-ever Poker Masters Online, hosted at partypoker, Alexandros Kolonias cashed in 11 out of 30 events to win nearly $1.3 million and earn the prestigious Purple Jacket for finishing in first place on the PMO Championship Leader Board. Kolonias, the top Greek pro in the world who also won the 2019 WSOP Europe Main Event, locked up the purple jacket with a victory in Event #30 $10K 6-Max.

Ship it to Greece once again! With a victory in the final event on the 2020 Poker Masters Online schedule at partypoker, Alexandros Kolonias secured his first Purple Jacket to go along with his WSOP(E) bracelet. For the first time in the history of the universe, the Poker Masters-branded high roller series migrated from the real world to a virtual venue. The Poker Masters draws its inspiration and name from the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia. At the golf Masters, the winner dons a green jacket. But at the Poker Masters (and now the Poker Masters Online), the overall champion gets to wear the Purple Jacket. It's quite an honor, especially in the high stakes community.

The Poker Masters, which is typically hosted at the Aria in Las Vegas, attracts the top pros in the game from North America and Europe. The online version, aptly dubbed the Poker Masters Online, attracted an international crowd on partypoker including American online exiles.

The inaugural Poker Masters Online included 30 events spread out over a couple of weeks of play. The total prize pool for 30 events at the 2020 PMO passed $35.4 million. The top player on the leaderboard would walk away with the coveted purple jacket, plus $50,000 in bonus cash.

Experts figured that it would take 1,000+ points, ten cashes, at least $1 million in earnings and multiple final tables to secure the top spot on the Poker Masters Online Championship Standings. Hey, those experts know their nerd stuff!

Alexandros Kolonias finished third overall at the 2020 PMO in total prize money with $1.266 million. He also cashed 11 times and tallied 1,191 points. He was one of only three other players with 1K or more in points. A victory in the final event pushed Kolonias over $1M in earnings, but the juicy 368 points for first place thrust him to the top of the leaderboard.

Artur Martirosian finished second on the leaderboard with 1,048 point. Martirosian cashed in 9 events for $1.28 million. Timothy Adams cashed 11 times for $1.04 million. He tallied 861 points, which was only good for fourth place.

Linus Loeliger, the man myth legend himself, banked $1.5 million in just three cashes. LL passed 1K in points with 1,037, but finished in third overall.

Just the other day, Loeliger faded a field of 77 runners to ship the Main Event aka PMO Event #29 $50,000 NL for a score just under $1.1 million. He racked up 658 points for that PMO Main Event victory, but it wasn't enough to secure a purple jacket.

The final event on the docket at the 2020 PMO at partypoker was Event #30 $10K NL 6-Max. The finale attracted 146 runners and a prize pool worth $1.46 million. Notables who went deep and cashed in Event #30 included Steve O'Dwyer, Connor Drinan. Chris Hunichen, Ben Heath, Alex Ivarsson, Dan Shak, Hossein Ensan, Orpen Kisacikoglu, Mark Radoja, and Samuel Vousden.

Pascal Lefrancois bubbled the final table in seventh place. The final six included Mustpha Kanit, Chris Kruk, Mark Demirjian, Jason Mcconnon and Alexandros Kolonias.

Chris Kruk bounced first at the final table. Kruk banked $60K for sixth place. Russia's Artur Martirosian (sometimes spelled Martirosyan) busted in fifth place, which paid out $91K. His deep run had put him second overall in the leaderboard standings.

Italian pro Mustapha Kanit bounced in fourth place. He secured a six-figure cash for $124,100. Lebanon's Mark Demirjian's epic run finished in third place. He earned a payout worth $175K. Not too shabby, eh?

England's Jason Mcconnon and Greek pro Alexandros Kolonias were heads-up for the final title. A purple jacket was also on the line for Kolonias.

Mcconnon was no slouch. He had cashed four times at the WSOP (according to Hendon Mob). He went deep in the 2016 Main Event, but he nearly missed out on a bracelet in 2018. He finished in second place in the 10K Heads Up Championship. Mcconnon lost to ZeeJustin but still managed a six-figure Vegas score worth $115K.

Mcconnon came close to winning Event #30, but he could not put away Kolonias. Mcconnon busted in second place, which paid out $248K. Sweet score.

For taking down Event #30, Kolonias earned a first-place payout worth a tad under $368K. The victory locked up first place on the leaderboard and the purple jacket was now his to slide on and impress the lovely ladies.

Kolonias had banked $3.7 million in live events and was fresh off his victory at the 2019 WSOP Europe Main Event in RozVegas, which paid out $1.2 million. No other player won more money that Kolonias in Greece.
