The 2020 World Championship of Online Poker Main Event Championship, aka WCOOP Event #72-H at PokerStars attracted 1,977 runners to the $10 million guaranteed prize pool event. The final table included... Teun 'tinnoemulder' Mulder, Andre "PTFisherman23" Marques, Robin 'robinho' Ylitalo, Tonio "prrrak4783" Roder, Michael 'munchenHB' Telker. The top three agreed to a chop that gave them roughly $1 million each. Portugal's Andre "PTFisherman23" Marques defeated Germany's Tonio "prrrak4783" Roder heads-up for the WCOOP Main Event title and $1.14 million in cash. Dutch pro Teun Mulder took third place.

It's been a wild week for Teun Mulder. The Dutch pro banked $1.2 million last Wednesday with a runner-up finish in the WPT Online Championship at partypoker. And this week, he added another cool million to his bankroll with a three-way money chop in the 2020 WCOOP Main Event (High) and a third-place finish. $2.2 million in a week? That's sick any way you cut it. Many pros have built their careers around a seven-figure score. Mulder scored two of them on back-to-back Wednesdays. Hump Day? Indeed.

But hey, let's not forget to give congrats where it's due. Portugal's Andre "PTFisherman23" Marques knocked off Germany's Tonio "prrrak4783" Roder to secure the 2020 WCOOP Main Event victory. He joined the ranks of several notable pros who binked the prestigious title such as JC Tran (2006), Yevgeniy 'Jovial Gent' Timoshenko (2009), Fedor 'CrownUpGuy' Holz (2014), Jonas Lauck (2016), and Steven 'SvZff' van Zadelhoff (2017).

The 2020 WCOOP Main Event, aka WCOOP Event #72-H, fell short of the $10 million guaranteed prize pool. It attracted 1,977 runners. The top 239 places paid out with the top two places earning seven-figure cashes. Initially, the runner-up was set to get paid out a little more than a cool million, while the champ would walk away with the WCOOP title and $1.5 million in cash.

The WCOOP Main Event final table included Teun 'tinnoemulder' Mulder, Andre "PTFisherman23" Marques, Robin 'robinho' Ylitalo, Andriy "Andre_Hansen" Lyubovetskiy, Tonio "prrrak4783" Roder, Michael 'munchenHB' Telker, Denys "SantaZzz" Chufarin, 77atlant77, Cecilia 'princes chu' Cafaro.

Holland's Teun 'tinnoemulder' Mulder came into the 2020 WCOOP Main Event final table as the chip leader with 134.9M mountain. He was one of three players north of 111K. The final table had three monstrous stacks, three smaller stacks, and three really small stacks.

Cecilia 'princes chu' Cafaro came into the final nine as the short stack. She became the first player to bust at the final table on a bad beat too. She made a valiant final stand with Bg Slick against PTFisherman23's Ace-trey. PTFisherman23 flopped a gutter-Wheel draw and got there on the turn. Yikes. prince chu was the first player eliminated from the final table in ninth place.

77atlant77 took pocket sevens to battle against PTFisherman23's pocket Queens to no avail. The Queens held and 77atlant77 busted in eighth place.

Michael 'munchenHB' Telker made a final stand with Carte As de trèfleCarte 4 de trèfle against Andre_Hansen's pocket tens. The tens held and Telker hit the virtual rail in seventh place.

Denys 'SantaZzz' Chufarin hit the bricks in sixth place when Ace-Jack lost to Robinho's pocket ochos. Robinho rivered a straight to win the pot.

With five left in the hunt, prrrak4783 took down Andre_Hansen with Ace-Jack versus King-Jack. Andre Lyubovetskiy banked $387,284 for fifth place.

With four to go, robinho made a final stand in a classic race against tinnoemulder. robinho held Big Slick against pocket nines. robnho flopped a King, but tinnoemulder flopped a set of nines. robinho rivered two pair, which were no good. The Swedish player busted in fourth place for a score worth $543K. Not too shabby, eh?

The final three agreed upon a money chop. Andre 'PTFisherman23' Marques locked up $1.14 million, Teun 'tinnoemulder' Mulder secured $1.1 million, and Tonio "prrrak4783" Roder snagged at leas $1.09 million.

Teun 'tinnoemulder' Mulder hit the bricks in third place when his AcCarte 3 de trèfle: lost to PTFisherman23's Ace-Jack. Mulder flopped bottom pair with a pair of treys, but PTFisherman23 caught a runner-runner Broadway straight gutterball. Ouch.

On the final hand, Tonio "prrrak4783" Roder lost with Carte 6 de trèfleCarte 5 de carreau against PTFisherman23's Carte 8 de trèfleCarte 7 de pique. prrrak4783 flopped a pair of sixes, but PTFisherman23 picked up an open-ended straight draw. PTFisherman23 rivered a ten-high straight to win the pot and the tournament.

Germany's Tonio "prrrak4783" Roder busted in second place, which paid out $1,082,533 per terms of their three-way deal.

Portugal claimed the championship. Per terms of the deal, Andre 'PTFisherman23' Marques banked an additional $100K for the heads-up victory for a sick score worth almost $1.15 million. Not too shabby, eh?
