PokerStars announced specifics for two stops on the upcoming Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) with the circuit coming to the Philippines and South Korea. The APPT Korea kicks off on April 5 with a Main Event starting on April 11. The APPT Manila will kick off at the end of the July and running the first week of August at the swanky new Okada Manila.

It's hard to beat this year's PCA. PokerStars actually crushed it and pulled off a sensational PokerStars Players Championship. All those Platinum Passes came in handy and PokerStars hosted the biggest $25K event in history where the winner, Roman Colillas from Spain banked $5.1 million. It was so crazy of a month in the Bahamas that even Chino Rheem won the Main Event.
Okay, as that event is in the dust, it's time to look ahead to a couple of other super cool and exotic locations. It's the dawn of a new era in Asia. PokerStars announced two stops for the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) and one of them includes a new venue. South Korea is one of the fastest growing poker hubs in Asia. The upcoming APPT event will take place at Paradise City in Incheon with a couple of High Roller events. And these days, significant high roller nosebleed action takes place in the Philippines at a brand new venue.
Big events are going down with smaller festivals around the anchor events. Everyone is excited. Why? Because it's not Vegas!
The APPT Korea takes place from April 5 to April 14. Paradise City in Incheon is a fairly new luxury resort that will host this festival of poker. The $1,600 buy-in Main Event (approximately 1.8M KRW) has a 300M KRW guarantee (roughly $270K). The events will also include the Korea Kick Off which starts on April 5. There's the APPT Korea National, which is a fun event that runs for four days starting April 7.
If you have the deep pockets, then check out the balla events. There's the APPT Korea Super High Roller on April 10 with a 10M KRW buy-in (Approximately $9K USD) and the APPT Korea High Roller on April 13 with a 5M KRW buy-in (roughly $4.5K USD).
The APPT Manila is headed to the Okada Manila is the home of PokerStars LIVE Manila in the Philippines. It kicks off on July 26 and runs through August 4. The swanky seafront megaresort is one of the coolest spots to gamble in Asia. For ten days, it's nonstop action.
The APPT Manila Kick Off starts on July 26 and the APPT Manila National starts on July 28. You can win your seat for as little as $1.10 through satellites.
There's also other events called the Okada Millions and the Manila Megastack. The Okada Millions starts in early February with 13 events. The Manila Megastack 11 kicks off in early March.
I'm lazily cutting and pasting this from the PR blast from Stars HQ: "Following on from the Okada Manila Millions, the Manila Megastack 11 will head to the PokerStars LIVE Manila poker room in the Coral Wing of Okada Manila. There will be PHP 17 million guaranteed across the entire event, which runs from March 1 to 10. The PHP33,000 buy-in Main Event will have PHP 10 million guaranteed, with the PHP 12,000 buy-in Kick Off event and PHP 55,000 NLH Freezeout events guaranteeing PHP 3 million, and the PHP 20,000 Saturday Superstack guaranteeing PHP 1 million."
