Daria 'Scarlett_D' Feshchenko, a 26-year old poker pro from Russia, is the newest ambassador for 888poker. Feshchenko plays high-stakes cash games in Russia, but you can find her online playing $50/$100 NL under the moniker Scarlett_D.

Feshchenko

Say hello to the newest ambassador for 888poker. Daria Feshchenko is most known for playing online poker under the moniker 'Scarlett_D'. Feshchenko made a name for herself at the 2018 World Series of Poker when she participated as a member of Team Russia in 888poker's 8-Team promotion. She recorded her biggest live cash to date during her trip to the Rio Casino in Las Vegas to play at the WSOP.

"I hope that they enjoyed me so much," said Daria Feshchenko. "That they decided to make me their ambassador."

Feshchenko has only $236K in tournament winnings according to Hendon Mob. Her biggest cash to sate is a $38K score at the 2018 World Series of Poker when she went deep in the Little One for One Drop. Feshchenko missed out on the final table when she busted in 12th place.

Feshchenko played several events in Europe over the last few years on the EPT Prague, partypoker MILLIONS Russia in Sochi, partypoker MILLIONS in Barcelona. She also cashed in the partypoker Caribbean Poker Party Main Event and at a Deepstacks event in Las Vegas.

Feshchenko, 26, got her start playing poker a decade earlier at 16-years old. She became enraptured bythe game and fascinated with players that won money at poker for a living.

"I decided to become one of them."

Feshchenko thrived in cash games in underground games around Moscow. However, she decided to make a jump to the international tournament circuit.

"Around four years ago I decided to start a new chapter in my career, a more official one," she explained. "So, I started to travel and play poker. For the last two years, I've almost never unpacked my luggage because of my busy schedule of live events."

Feshchenko is a single mom raising her 7-year old son via poker earnings. She found an opportunity to challenge herself, while supporting her family.

Poker has been booming in Russia since the turn of the century. According to Feshchenko, there are plenty of games in Moscow in casinos and in the underground scene. She also noted that the biggest games in Russia are often running in Sochi.

However, in some circles in Russia, poker is lumped in with "gambling" and not looked upon as a mindsport like chess. That can become problematic.

Feshchenko plays online using the screenname 'Scarlett_D', which is inspired by the iconic film "Gone with the Wind".

"It is a story of young women who grows up from a young capricious and wayward girl to strong and powerful woman. But still she always kept her spontaneity and spirit," explained Feshchenko.

For a hot minute, Feshchenko held the top ranked female in Europe according to the GPI rankings. Her 888poker teammate, Ana Marquez, is currently on top.

"There were a lot of reasons to say yes," Feshchenko said in a PR blast. "First of all, their content is very warm and personal. I feel that it is a great opportunity to do something good for the poker industry, to share my life and story, and try to inspire some people. Also, I like all the crew a lot; they are like family but, at the same time, very professional. And, of course, 888poker is a big name in the industry. I am proud to be part of it."

It's cash games where Feshchenko thrives.

"I'm super excited to be new 888poker ambassador," Feshchenko said in a promo video. "I want to become one of the best players. I just want to show myself and other people there is nothing to fear and you can do anything."

Feshchenko joins the growing list of female 888poker Ambassadors that also includes Vivian "Vivi" Saliba, Kara Scott, Ana Marquez, and Sofia Lovgren.
