Panama! Cue the Van Halen!! The PokerStars Championship tour ventured to the gateway between North and South America to host the latest international stop on the poker circuit. The PokerStars Championship Panama has been the poker hotspot the last 10 days. After a multitude of events including high roller affairs, the grand finale is down to its final table. The $5,300 buy-in Main Event Championship attracted 366 entries from all over the globe. They created a prize pool in excess of $1.7 million.
The final table is down to five players with a Russian chip leader. Still alive in this Panamanian quest… an American, Belgian, and two Canadians. Sounds like a cast of characters from a remake of a classic Hollywood gold rush movie, but it's the final five in Panama. Russia's Denis Tomfeev ended Day 5 atop a mountain of chips almost in excess of 3.9M. Also advancing to the final table were… Robin Wozniczek, Ken Smaron, Jonathan Abdellatif from Belgium, Harpreet Gill, and Tony Diotte... and they were chasing Tomfeev and the first-place prize worth $294K.
Watch the final table live steam with cards up starting at 1pm ET via Twitch.
