Poker definition

Eight or Better

A form of hi/low split poker typically applied to Omaha or seven-card stud. Half the pot goes to the best high hand and the other half to the best low hand. However, in eight or better, a low hand must contain five unpaired cards below an 8 to qualify. If no low hand qualifies, the high hand wins the entire pot.
