PokerStars added a new ambassador to their ranks. They announced the addition of German poker pro Benjamin 'BenCB' Rolle as an ambassador, along with a partnership with his poker teaching site Raise Your Edge that will debut in September. Rolle is a stellar MTT player who has big sores in the WCOOP and SCOOP over the years. Rolle also has a popular stream on Twitch, which he'll continue doing as a PokerStars ambassador.
Get ready for some poker wisdom dispatched by BenCB. When one of the world's premier online poker tournament players in the world wants to let you inside his head while playing (multi) tournaments, then you don't miss up the chance to get some free and valuable coaching. These days most streams are self-indulgent wankers bragging about their sick calls while lamenting about bad beats. But not with BenCB. You get intelligent and thoughtful analysis with complex topics broken down into simplified explanations.
Germany's Benjamin Rolle made a name for himself back in the day playing online poker at PokerStars under the bencb789 moniker. These days, he's simply BenCB. But while playing under bencb789, he won events at WCOOP and SCOOP including one score worth $1.1 million after he defeated Fedor Holz heads-up for the victory.
After years of playing in the shadows, bencb789 emerged as a poker teacher on a Twitch channel a couple years ago.
PokerStars decided to bring Rolle into the mix as a PokerStars Ambassador considering he had an ideal background with a popular Twitch stream, big scores at PokerStars on his resume, and a new coaching site on deck. Rolle will be the newest addition to Red Spade family as a pitchperson.
"Ben is arguably one of the world's top Multi-Table Tournament players and has been crushing high stakes for many years," said Scott Goodall, Associate Director of Communities and Partnerships at PokerStars. "On top of that, he and his amazing team at Raise Your Edge have built up and supported a huge community through education, engagement, and a passion to not only play but to learn the game that we all love in a safe environment."
"I'm thrilled to be working alongside PokerStars to continue to find ways to positively impact the future of online poker," said Rolle. "Working together with PokerStars I will be able to work on new content and become even more creative when trying to introduce more players to the game. I am very excited and grateful for this opportunity."
Rolle has a new training and coaching site ready to launch in September called Raise Your Edge.
"Working with Ben and Raise Your Edge, PokerStars will be able to provide top standard content and gain valuable feedback and input from Ben, the RYE community, as well as our existing ambassadors and partners, to ensure we can continuously improve and provide the best experience for all our players and communities. This partnership is something we are all very excited about here at PokerStars," added Goodall.
"I see it as a great responsibility to represent PokerStars, to remain a voice of the community and act as a bridge between them and the platform," added Rolle about Raise Your Edge's budding partnership with PokerStars.
