GGPoker released their schedule for 54 events for the 2020 World Series of Poker Online, which begins July 16 and ends on September 6 for international players. The buy-ins range from $100 to $25,000. The Main Event as a $5,000 buy-in with a $25 million guaranteed prize pool and 22 opening flights. There's also the $25K Poker Players Championship and several People's Choice events. In an increased security measure, players must play under their own names at GGPoker.
Get ready for some serious online action this summer at GGPoker. The 2020 World Series of Poker launched an online series on two different sites that includes 85 bracelet events. Over at WSOP.com, the few fortunate Americans (in NJ or Nevada) will compete for 31 bracelet events starting July 1. The WSOP suits did not want to let Asians, Africans, Europeans, South Americans, and non-American North Americans out of the hunt for bling. So, they crafted a schedule of 54 events over the GGPoker.
Starting July 19, GGPoker will host daily bracelet events running through September 6. At least 54 bracelets are up for grabs at GGPoker with buy-ins catering to various playing levels and bankroll sizes. The variety and selection of games is rather thin compared to the live-version of the WSOP, but hey, it's better than nothing during the pandemic.
The first WSOP event on GGPoker will take place on July 19. The $100 buy-in The Opener is the perfect kick-off event. There's also a special charity event on the opening day with a $1,111 buy-in "Every 1 for COVID Relief" with $111 donated to Caesars Cares.
Notable PLO events include... $5,000 PLO Championship, $2,500 PLO, $1,500 PLO (twice), $1,050 Bounty PLO, $800 Double Stack PLO, $800, PLO, $400 PLO, and the PLO version of the Colossus called the $400 PLOssus.
Other noteworthy events include... $10,000 Short Deck NL Championship, $10,000 Heads Up NL, $5,000 NL 6-max Championship, BIG 50, $1,050 Beat the Pros, $1,500 Limit Hold'em Championship, $1,500 Marathon, and the $1,500 Millionaire Maker.
There's also a special NL Asia Championship with a HK$8,000 buy-in.
The Main Event has a $5K buy-in and 22 flights. They added $25 million in guarantees. Juicy, eh?
"The single biggest guarantee in the history of online poker is exactly what this once-in-a-lifetime event deserves," said WSOP exchequer Ty Stewart.
Event #38 will be $25,000 NLHE Poker Players Championship, which goes down on August 23. That's the highest buy-in on the schedule at GGPoker.
Event #53, one of the events on the final day of action, is called the $10K WSOP Super MILLION$.
And do not forget about the four People's Choice events. It sounds like something the Rock would cook up. But players and pros will vote on those events (later on the docket). There's also a luck factor involved on one that's dubbed "Spin the Wheel".
The final WSOP Online event at GGPoker is scheduled for September 6 with the $500 Closer.
