Aaron Paul makes his GPL debut!

Welcome to the Las Vegas portion of the Global Poker League! The first half of the season featured online matches in both 6-max and heads-up formats. This portion of the season is called the Las Vegas Live Summer Series because it is devoted to live matches in Vegas during the WSOP. These matches are crossover affairs with EurAsia Conference teams pitted against Americas Conference teams. The first match during Heat I in Vegas will also feature wild card selection Aaron Paul from the L.A. Sunset. Paul, an actor most known for his role of meth-cook Jesse Pinkman on Breaking Bad, was selected by team manager Maria Ho as one of the L.A. Sunset's wild card picks. A lot of rumors were swirling after the draft about which potential celebrities could get picked up as a wild card selection. Fitting that the LA franchise picked up the award-winning actor Paul.

Aaron Paul is playing in his first match of the season against Paris Aviators' team manager Fabrice Soulier. The LA Sunset is currently in second place in the Americas Conference with 95 points, while the Paris Aviators slipped to fourth place in the EurAsia Conference with 86 points. This first match of Heat I of the GPL Las Vegas Live Summer Series kicks off at 8pm ET or 5pm Vegas time. You can sweat the action via Twitch here…
