After the first week of action at the first-ever PokerGO Cup at the Aria Casino in Las Vegas, six events are in the books for the high roller series. Ali Imsirovic made headlines with two victories already in Event #2 $10,000 NL and Event #4 $15,000 NL. Other winners so far include Alex Foxen in Event #1 $10,000 NL, Dylan Linde in Event #2 $10,000 NL, Jake Schindler in Event #5 $25,000 NL, and Jason Koon in Event #6 $25,000 NL.

The inaugural 2021 PokerGO Cup is underway at PokerGo Studios inside the Aria Casino in Las Vegas and the high roller series already crowded six champions -- well five champions including one fellow with two titles -- to kick off the new summer series, which is a part of the newly installed PokerGO Tour.
In the first event to kick off the newly-minted series, 2021 PokerGO Cup Event #1 $10,000 NL, attracted 66 runners and a prize pool worth $660K. Alex Foxen was the last player standing and he won $178,200. The final table also included Sean Perry Sergi Reixach, David Coleman, Jordan Cristos, and Kristin Holst. Foxen defeated Perry heads-up for the first win of the series.
Event #2 $10,000 NL attracted 61 runners. Ali Imsirovic bagged the chip lead heading into the final table, which also included Jason Koon, Matas Cimnolas, Dylan Lind, Mo Rahim, and Frank Funaro. Imsirovic edged out Koon heads up for the win and he banked $183,000 to move into first place in the leaderboard after just two events.
Event #3 $10,000 NL drew in 5 runners. Sam Soverel entered the final table with the chip lead with over 2.4M after he took out KidPoker in eighth place and rocketed into first overall. The final table of seven also included Steve Z, Dylan Linde, Sergi Reixach, Bill Klein, Chris Brewer, and Cary Katz. Soverel and Linde were the last two standing, but Linde won their heavyweight match and banked $169,600. With 255 points, Linde moved into first place in the PokerGO Cup leader board.
Event $4 $15,000 NL attracted 45 runners for the rare $15K event. Ali Imsirovic bagged the lead heading into the final table that also included Dan Weinand, Jordan Cristos, Alex Foxen, David Coleman, and Mo Rahim. Imsirovic knocked out Weinand heads up to win Event #4 and snag his second title in the last three events. As expected, Imsirovic returned to the top of the leader board with 423 points.
For the first $25K throwdown, 36 players took a shot at Event #5 $25,000 NL. Jake Schindler came into the final table with the lead and he didn't skip a beat en route to a victory. He picked off David Peters heads up for the win and $324,000 in cash. The final table also included David Coleman, Stevie Chidwick, Sean Winter, and Daniel Negreanu.
Jason Koon won 2021 PokerGO Cup Event #6 $25,000 NL, which attracted 36 runners. The final table also included Jason Koon, Thomas Winters, John Riordan, Anuj Agarwal, Cary Katz, and Steve Zolotow. John Riordan came into the final table with the chip lead, but he hit the road in third place. Koon defeated Winters heads up for the title and banked $324,000 for the win. Koon also notched 240 PokerGO Tour points.
Through six events, Imsirovic say on top of the PokerGO Cup leaderboard with 423 points and $423K in cashed, followed by Koon's 316 points and $316K in cashes. They're fighting for the coveted Cup and an additional $50,000 in cash. In overall PokerGO Tour standings, Imsirovic leads with 2,320 points, while Sean Perry is second with 1,553 points.
