Poker definition

In cash games with a kill, the stakes are raised when a player wins consecutive hands. The stakes usually double (for example, in a $10/$20 limit hold'em game the kill pot would raise the stakes to $20/$40). In half-kill games, the stakes raise only half the current stakes (for example a $10/$20 game with a half-kill would increase to $15/$30).
