A couple of big tournament results of note. Canadian pro Kristen Bicknell won the 5K event at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic at the Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas. Bicknell won $228K and moved into the Top 25 for most money won by a female player. At the WSOP International Circuit in Paris, Marius Conan faded a field of 811 entrants to win the Main Event. Conan won a circuit ring and €200K in cash.

It was a good night for a couple of poker players in different parts of the world: Kristen Bicknell and Marius Conan. Canadian pro Kristen Bicknell won an event at the Bellagio, which propelled her into second place on the all-time money list for Canadian Women, trailing only Xuan Lui. And over in France, Marius Conan shipped the WSOP International Circuit Main Event at the Cercle Clichy Montmartre in Paris, France. Conan won €200K and a coveted WSOP Circuit ring.
Kristen Bicknell faded a field of 147 runners to win the $5K event at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic, which is Bellagio's annual year-ending series. Bicknell's first-place prize totaled $228,144. Not a bad way to end the year, eh? Bicknell is running good... let's see if she can make back-to-back tables with the 10K Main Event next up on the schedule.
The Bellagio score is Bicknell's second largest cash in her career. She won $298K for winning her second WSOP bracelet last summer in a Bounty event. Bicknell shipped the Ladies Event back in 2013, for her first six-figure score worth nearly $174K. She has three six-figure cashes to date and amassed $1.2M USD in tournaments since 2013. Bicknell moved into the Top 25 on the Women's All Time Money list. She's the second best Canadian woman behind Xuan Lui ($1.9M) and just passed Isabelle Mercier ($1.19M).
The WSOP International Circuit had a stop over in Paris, France. The Cercle Clichy Montmartre hosted the circuit series. The €1,500 buy-in Main Event attracted 811 combatants. The prize pool topped €1.2M with a guarantee of €200K set aside for the champ.
Marius Conan outlasted a field of 811 runners to win the Circuit ring. His French-heavy final table included a token Scandi and Russian. Jacob Öhlund from Sweden busted in fourth place, while Russian pro Max Lykov finished in fifth place. Conan beat Pierre Merlin heads-up for the ring and cash.
Other notables who cashed in the Main Event included... Rob Franco and Jean Montury.
Before the WSOP Circuit began, Conan's biggest cash to date was a €18,050 (or $20K USD) score at the WPTDeepStacks in Cannes.
