Poker definition

M

A formula used to calculate relative stack sizes in tournament play popularized by Dan Harrington in his “Harrington on Hold'em” series of books. To calculate your M, divide the number of chips you have by the cost of one round of blinds and antes. According to Harrington, an M of less than 5 means you're short-stacked and need to make a move.
