Get ready for the richest low-stakes online tournament series on the interwebs with the triumphant return of PokerStars lo-fi series known as MicroMillions. The low-stakes series caters to newcomers and players with limited bankrolls. It also gives busto players a chance to replenish their depleted bankroll with a chance to snag a big score for a modest investment.
The benefactors at PokerStars created three freerolls for MicroMillions players on July 14, July 17, and July 24. A total of $200,000 in tournament tickets to 2021 MicroMillions will be doled out in the trio of freerolls. So if you're looking for a chance to get into the MicroMillions action for free, then do not miss out on the freerolls so follow PokerStars on Twitter and watch their Twitch feed, where they'll reveal passwords to these MicroMillions freerolls.
Set your calendar for July 15. That's the official start of the 2021 MicroMillions with 122 events that will run through July 25, or the last Sunday in July. This series lasts 12 days with at least 10 micro-stakes events per day.
You cannot have MicroMillions without the "MICRO"... which is why have buy-ins for as low as $1.10 with a total of 34 out of 122 events at that enticing prize point. That's like almost free! That's like two sips of coffee from Starbucks, or a couple fries from In n Out Burger.
The affordable price points and buy-ins range from $1.10 to $3.30 to $5.50 to $11 to $22. The Main Event is the most expensive buy-in out of the 122 events and the lone $22 event. You get to play a multitude of events that are not just a gajillion PKOs. This year's MicroMillions schedule incudes non-holde'em formats such as... HORSE, 2-7 Triple Draw, 5-card Draw, Fixed-Limit Hold'em, 8-Game, Fusion, PLO8, Stud, PLO 6-Max, PLO 4-Max, SHOWTIME NL, ZOOM, 6+Holde'em (aka ShortDeck), 6-Card PLO, Stud8, 3-Max PKO, Badugi, PLO Rebuys, 4-Max Turbo, 5-Card PLO8, PL Courchevel, Heads-Up Turbo, Bubble Rush, and Razz... yes, Razz.
You can't have the MicroMillions without the "MILLIONS", which is why there's $4.7 million in guaranteed prize pools. Along the way, there's a special anniversary of the Sunday Storm and the marquee event -- the $1 million guaranteed MicroMillions Main Event.
The Main Event has a $22 price tag and starts on July 25, or the final day of MicroMillions. Last year, 'ibotown' from Austria shipped the MicroMillions Main Event and faded 48,812 runners to ship a score worth nearly $121K... not too shabby for a $22 price tag, eh?
Also, do not miss the $11 buy-in Sunday Storm Anniversary on July 18 and its $1 million guarantee.
Satellites are running now with Spin & Gos awarding Main Event seats.
