And then there were six. The 2018 Super High Roller Bowl attracted the top super-ballas in the game. The Aria Casino on the Strip hosted this annual pre-WSOP pilgrimage of high rollers. The usual cast of Germans were in attendance along with the top sharks in North America. In total, 48 runners took a shot at the $300,000 buy-in SHR Bowl title this year. The $15 million guaranteed prize pool also had a $5 million first-place prize.
Six players remain in the SHR Bowl including the defending champ, German pro Christoph Vogelsang. The champ will have a lot of work ahead of him because he limped into the final table with a short stack. Nick Petrangelo is the other short stack.
Jason Koon, fresh off his victories at the SHR Triton Series in Montenegro, is still alive. He bagged up 4/6 to end the night, but he's still in the hunt.
There's three big stacks with at least 4M, including chip leader Mikita Badziakouski with 4.2M. Justin Bonomo is third overall with a shade under 4M. Daniel Negreanu bagged up an even 4M, which was good enough for second overall.
All the cheesecake is at the final table, with the biggest slice up top. $5 million gets awarded to the champion. Who's gonna take it down? Second place gets a decent score worth $3 million. And fifth place walks away with at least seven figures, with sixth banking $900K.
2018 SHR Bowl resumes on Wednesday in Las Vegas. You can stream the final table via the subscription service for PokerGO starting at 4pm ET or 1pm PT a.k.a. Vegas time.
