888poker Ambassador, Kara Scott, is hosting a new podcast called Heart of Poker. Kara will sit down to have a loose, yet compelling conversation with some of your favorite poker pros by asking a series of questions that are vastly different than the usual form of questioning from poker media. The first episode is available featuring the legendary Chris Moorman.
Who doesn't love Kara Scott? She's been around the poker biz for the last 15 years and she's been both a player and member of the media during her tenure. Kara has become a recognizable face and one of the most-respected women in poker, which is no surprise why 888poker tapped her to be one of their ambassadors.
Now, Kara Scott and 888poker are working together to release a new podcast. I know what you're thinking… do we need another poker podcast? But this will not be your ordinary poker podcast in which pros ramble on for an hour about a crazy hand, or some hot-button topic buzzing around social media. Instead, Kara Scott will be attempting to get to know pros in a more intimate and humorous way.
Kara Scott's new podcast, The Heart of Poker, is inspired by Arthur Aron and his 36 questions.
Who the heck is Aron and what are the 36 questions? Aron tried to create a series of deep and peculiar questions that will allow strangers to get to know each other faster.
Some of the questions are intimate (What is your most embarrassing moment?) and some are great cocktail party chatter (Who would you invite to dinner?). Some are about self-reflection (What is your favorite memory?). Some are morbid (Do you have a secret hunch you will die?) and others really get down to the core values of the person (What do you value most in a friendship?). And some will actually pinpoint the root of our own anxiety or flaws (How is your relationship with your mother?)
These 36 questions that Kara Scott will draw upon will definitely require a bit of thought. Sven the most media savvy pros and ones with intense media training will not be able to fall back on their automatic trove of canned responses. They'll have to provide some thoughtful answers and along the way, that's how we'll get to know someone we always thought we knew.
"The feeling of genuine human connection is intoxicating," explained Kara Scott. "So, can we use this list to hack intimacy and find a shortcut to get to know your favorite pros better?"
In the first episode, Kara Scott sits down with fellow 888poker ambassador Chris Moorman. The British pro was once considered the best online tournament player in the world. In real life, he's won over $6 million in live tournaments and another $10 million in online tournaments.
Kara asked Moorman questions ranging from how he can survive a zombie apocalypse to what sort of special ability he could have. Moorman gave honest and interesting answers, which is the exact intent by Kara Scott and her new podcast.
