The first week of the 2018 WCOOP on PokerStars is complete and one of the big stories is that nilsef from Germany won two WCOOP titles in the same day in NL Omaha and Win the Button. Also, NJCOOP will kick off soon in the Garden State starting September 29. Three Platinum Passes to the 2019 PSPC will be in play during NJCOOP.

Can you smell WCOOP wafting in the air? Take a deep breath of the late-summer cool breeze and let it all in! The 2018 WCOOP on PokerStars boasted 62 events on its schedule and we're more than one-third dunzo. The opening week of WCOOP is in the books. Probably the most PR-centric story is someone from Germany won two WCOOP's in the same day! nilsef shipped it two times. Meanwhile, jah1923 shipped the Sunday Million Special Edition for $193K, and TheCleaner11, blanconegro, and SkaiWalkurrr each won high roller WCOOPs.

Chop it two times, ship it twice! nilsef had a sensational day with a double victory. Two WCOOPs in the same day. nilsef won Event #7-H $1,050 NL Omaha (chopped it heads-up and went on to win outright) for a $41.8K score. nilsef also won EVent #10 $2,100 Win the Button for a $74K score. nilsef chopped that one heads-up as well...and went on to win. Big Huni finished in second place in that one and veeea made yet another final table with a fifth-place finish.

As of press time (Saturday morning), aDrENalin710 from Russia topped the WCOOP leaderboard. Meanwhile, double-dip nilsef is in the Top 5 along with calvin7v.

In WCOOP High Roller action, TheCleaner11, blanconegro, and SkaiWalkurrr binked big-ticket events.

SkaiWalkurrr took down the $10,300 NL High Roller for a $367K score. Not an easy final table that also included blanconegro, girafganger7, bencb789, Cavalito, veeea, Bit2Easy, nofingclue11 and T 54 T 97s.

In the $25K PLO High Roller, TheCleaner11 defeated danfiu heads-up for a sick score worth $466K. Lot of Finnish players at the final table. Usual cast of gambooolers: WRUUUUM, Lrslzk, and EEE27. BongBob bubbled the 6-Max final table.

blanconegro shipped Event #19-H $10,300 High Roller PKO for a $163K payday. RuiNf finished in second place. Jungleman final tabled the 10K PKO but he busted in 8th place.

There's a $5,200 PLO High Roller on the docket today. Expect to see the usual suspects in Event #27-H. There's also a $5,200 TURBO High Roller. Gambooooool it up with the big dogs and uber-degens.

Sunday's big event is the $5,200 High Roller with a $1M guarantee. There's also Event #43-H $25K High Roller with a $2M guarantee later this week.

2018 NJCOOP

Also, we got a press release from PokerStarsHQ about the upcoming NJCOOP! The New Jersey Championship of Online Poker (NJCOOP) is coming to PokerStars NJ on September 29. It will run all the way thru October 15, 2018. And yes, there will be Platinum Passes in play. Three are up for grabs during NJCOOP including one to the winner of the $86 Moneymaker Tour Event, which takes place on Sunday, September 30. Other Platinum Passes will be rewarded to winners of NJCOOP Main Event Entrants All-in Shootout (October 16 at 20:00ET) and NJCOOP Entrants All-in Shootout (October 16 at 21:00ET).

Here's when I lazily cut and paste the press release... "Over those two weeks, players can win a share of $1.5 million in total guaranteed prize money on PokerStarsNJ, with more than $1 million in NJCOOP prize pools alone.

NJCOOP offers players tournaments with stakes ranging from $25 to $1,000 across a variety of formats including mixed games and Pot Limit Omaha, providing something for every poker player and bankroll. Highlights of the series include the $500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event ($150,000 guarantee) as well as the $250 NL Hold'em Sunday Special ($60,000 guarantee) and the $1,000 NL Hold'em High Roller ($50,000 guarantee)."
