    Breaking News WSOP: Belgium's Kenny Hallaert leads Main Event with 800 remaining The action at the 2016 WSOP Main Event went so fast that the money bubble burst late on Day 3 instead of on Day 4 as initially projected by organizers. And once the bubble popped, a flurry of eliminations ensued. At the end of Day 3, Kenny Hallaert from Belgium bagged up the most chips. Antonio Esfandiari is in the top 10 in chips. The defending champion Joe McKeehen busted mid-way Day 3 before the money bubble. We will definitely have a new champion this year.

Playing in his first WSOP in two years, Nowakowski won Event #57 PLO8 for his first-career bracelet. Meanwhile, Corey Thompson from Florida shipped Event #58 $1,000 NL (30-minute levels).

D'Aneglo, also known as ‘g0lfa' online beat John Monnette heads-up for the bracelet. The first OG Donkament on the schedule, Event #6 $1,500 NL, was so big that they failed to reach a winner on Day 3. The opening 6-max tournament featured matches among the Eurasian franchises in Europe and Asia including the Paris Aviators, Berlin Bears, Hong Kong Stars, London Royals, Moscow Wolverines, and the Rome Emperors. When the dust settled on the virtual felt, Davidi Kitai from the Paris Aviators won the first game. After four 6-max matches, Paris is leading the Eurasian Conference after a 10-point day, while New York and Las Vegas are tied for first with 10 point apiece in the Americas Conference. Matches were won by Davidi Kitai (Paris Aviators), Raiden Kan (Hong Kong Stars), Jason Wheeler (New York Rounders), and Michael ‘Timex' McDonald (Montreal Nationals).     News GPL: Hong Kong in first place; Elky defeats Jungleman in hysterical bout On the second day of action during the first week of the GPL, the Hong Kong Stars, led by Randy ‘nanonoko' Lew, swept their heads-up matches by the score of 3-0 against the Moscow Wolverines' Sergey Lebedev. The Hong Kong Stars notched nine points and currently sit in first place in the Eurasian Conference. Meanwhile, in the marquee matchup of the day between the Paris Aviators and Berlin Bears, legendary Elky came from behind to defeat Dan ‘Jungleman' Cates by the score of 2-1. Jungleman's running commentary was outright hysterical and insightful, which made him the first big breakout stars of the Global Poker League.
