NewsFBI Raid Two Card Rooms in San Diego and Bust Fat Dave's Illegal Gambling Operation The FBI raided two card clubs in San Diego – Seven Mile Casino and the Palomar Card Club – and busted an illegal gambling and money laundering operation. The feds fingered David “Fat Dave” Stroj as the mastermind of the gambling ring, which has apparent ties to the Philly mafia. The nationwide sting netted 25 arrests in California, Arizona, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, and Iowa. The card rooms were used to launder proceeds from a prostitution ring, high-stakes poker games hosted in mansions around San Diego, and an offshore sports book that booked $2 million in bets every month. Casino operators insisted he was up to no good and refused to pay him. Ivey insisted that he was doing everything within his legal realm to gain an advantage. In short, Ivey's stance was: you agreed to the original terms so now pay up. Crocksfords initially stiffed him for £7.8 million (or $12 million USD) and Ivey sued, yet lost. Breaking NewsJOE MCKEEHEN WINS 2015 WSOP MAIN EVENT CHAMPIONSHIP AND $7.7 MILLIONThe third and final day of the November Nine action at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas began with three players remaining in the 2015 WSOP Main Event Chanpionship. Joe McKeehen held a daunting lead over Josh Beckley and Neil Blumenfield. Neither could get a crack at McKeehen. He picked off Blumenfield in third place with Q-Q vs. 2-2. Then 13 hands later, McKeehen won a coin flip with A-10 against Beckley's 4-4 to knock out Beckley in second place. Joe McKeehen, a 24-year old pro and ex-ice cream truck driver from the Philadelphia suburbs, collected his first bracelet and won $7.7 million for first place in the 2015 WSOP Main Event.
