WSOP: Belgium's Michael Gathy wins third-career bracelet; Hani Awad edges out Fabrice Soulier for win

Las Vegas local Hani Awad beat Fabrice Soulier heads-up to win the bracelet in Event #36 $2,500 Mixed Omaha 8/Stud 8. Awad finished in second place in this same event last year and returned this summer to claim the bracelet. Michael Gathy from Belgium shipped his third-overall bracelet when he won Event #35 $5,000 6-handed NL. Gathy edged out Frenchman Adrien Allain for the win. Meanwhile, Event #33 $1,500 NL Summer Solstice is down to two: Austria's Koray Aldemir and WSOP Europe Main Event champ Adrian Mateos from Spain. On Friday, the $3K 6-max bracelet is also up for grabs with eight to go. Matt Matros is looking to add another bracelet to his collection, but 2015 WSOP Main Event Champion Joe McKeehen is second overall.
