PokerStars announces a new PokerStars Championship stop in Sochi, Russia

Sochi, Russia will play host to the largest tournament series in all of Russia for eleven days in May. PokerStars announced that they are sponsoring a brand new PokerStars Championship event at the Sochi Casino from May 20-31. Sochi hosted the Winter Olympics a few years ago and the Sochi Casino is one of the swankiest properties in all of Eastern Europe. The Main Event will have a guarantee of at least 150 million Rubles (equivalent of $2.6 million USD), which would make it the largest guaranteed tournament in the history of organized Russian tournament poker.
