It's official! Justin Bonomo won the $300,000 buy-in 2018 Super High Roller Bowl at the Aria Casino in Las Vegas. Bonomo faded 48 runners and banked $5 million for first place. Daniel Negreanu finished in second place and won $3 million. Jason Koon took third for $2.1 million.

Six players are still alive at the Aria Casino in Las Vegas for the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl. The $300,000 buy-in SHR affair attracted 48 runners. First place was guaranteed to win $5 million, with the top 5 places paying out at least seven figures. Defending champion Christoph Vogelsang is still alive, albeit as the short stack. Mikita Badziakouski bagged up the chip lead, with Daniel Negreanu and Justin Bonomo right behind. Jason Koon and Nick Petrangelo round out the final table.

Matt Waxman won the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions at the Aria Casino in Las Vegas. Waxman outlasted a field of 80 players to win $463,375. Waxman beat Matas Cimbolas heads-up for the title. Darren Elias finished in third place and David Benyamine took fourth place.

Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, one of the founders of Full Tilt Poker, posted a 42-second video in which he apologies to the poker community. Ferguson won his 6th bracelet last year at the WSOP Europe on RozVegas, and locked up 2017 WSOP Player of the Year, much to the dismay of the majority of the American online poker community. Jesus Ferguson's video created an instant tsunami of ire on social media, with the start of the 2018 WSOP right around the corner.

Mark it four, Dude! Darren Elias won the first-ever WPT Bobby Baldwin Classic at the Aria Casino in Las Vegas, which marked his fourth-career win on the World Poker Tour. Ellias faded a field of 162 players and defeated Kitty Kuo heads up to win $387,580. Joe McKeehen, Dietrich Fast, Jon Little, and Sam Panzica were also at the final table. Phil Hellmuth bubbled the final table in seventh place.

It's back! The 2018 World Series of Poker kicks off at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas on May 30. The 49th running of the WSOP features 78 bracelet events, which expanded from 74 the previous year. The $10,000 Main Event starts on July 2 and they'll crown a champion on July 14. The Big One for One Drop has a $1 million buy-in and runs July 15-17. At the Triton Super High Roller Series in Montenegro, two Americans – Jason Koon and Kane Kalas – jousted in one of the largest pots ever recorded in televised poker history. The €1.8 million pot (or $2 million USD) occurred during the live stream of nosebleed cash game session with blinds at 2K/4K and 10K ante. Doug Polk posted a great video where he broke down the action in the $2 million pot.

The dispute: $692,460. The crux: America or Canada? 2016 WSOP Main Event Runner-Up Gordon Vayo provided proof he was in Montreal, Canada during the duration of his SCOOP victory last year. The security squad claimed he violated TOS by connecting to the site using a VPN. Vayo responded with a lawsuit against the biggest online poker operator on the planet.

2018 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is underway! It began yesterday at PokerStars and there will be at least one $1 million guaranteed tournament per day over the next 2 weeks. A total of 61 events are on the schedule this year with 3 buy-in tiers or 183 total tournaments. In addition, 5 Platinum Passes to the 2019 PSPC in the Bahamas are up for grabs. A driving instructor from Paris won the return of the EPT Monte Carlo. Nicolas Dumont faded a field of 777 runners at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Casino to win €712,000. Dumont outlasted a shark-infested final table that included David Peters, Patrik Antonius, and Ole Schemion. Dumont edged out New Zealand's Honglin Jiang heads-up for the title and €712K in cash. Dumont also shipped a Platinum Pass to the 2019 PSPC in the Bahamas.

Taylor Black defeated Darryll Fish heads-up to win the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS North America Main Event Championship in Montreal, Canada. Black outlasted a field of 1.954 runners and earned $1,400,000 CAD for his first-place finish. Fish took home $1.2 million CAD as a consolation prize. Anthony Ruberto raked a cool million for third place.
