Rejected Rounders 2 screenplays: 'Rounders 2 Dragon Hand' and 'The Revenge of Teddy KGB'

Daniel Negreanu wondered about potential sequels to the classic cult films 'Rounders', a 1998 Miramax film originally written by Brian Koppleman and David Levien. Probably the best potential script idea appeared on 2+2 as something called 'EuroRounders'. Numerous ideas about 'Rounders 2' have been rejected over the years including Mike McD breaking up a human trafficking ring to a crypto scam to fighting demons in the sideways world to a prequel set in the early 1980s in the Bronx.

The 2019 WSOOP Main Event on PokerStars has a $5,200 buy-in and attracted 1,637 entries plus 599 re-entries. The prize pool topped $11.1 million. BigBlindBets outlasted everyone to win $1.6 million. Spain's Alejandro Roman wins WPTDeepStacks Marrakech for 1.1 Million Moroccan Dirham

The WPT arrived in Morocco for the latest stop on the WPTDeepStacks global tour. Alejandro Roman from Spain outlasted a field of 545 runners to win the 2019 WPTDeepStacks Marrakech Main Event, which had a 13,200 Moroccan Dirham buy-in. Roman banked 1.1 million MAD for first place. The final table also included Bruno Fitoussi, who finished in sixth place.

Ex-hockey player Donald Maloney wins 2019 WPT Borgata Poker Open

The 2019 WPT Borgata Poker Open attracted 1,156 runners and a prize pool worth over $3 million. Donald Maloney, Jr., an ex-hockey player and son of Don Maloney from the New York Rangers, won his first WPT title after defeating Uke Dauti heads-up at the Borgata. Victor Ramdin finished in sixth place. Vanessa Selbst made a cameo at this WPT event and she went deep at the Borgata with a finish in 14th place.

Sam Soverel wins 2 events at 2019 British Poker Open, Ben Tollerene wins BPO 100K High Roller

The 2019 British Poker Open concluded with Event #10 £100,000 NL. Only 12 players took part in the 1.2 million prize pool. The top two places paid out with Ben Tollerene winning £840,000 for first place, while Cary Katz banked £360,000 for second place. Sam Sovervel won two events in London, while other champs in the 2019 BPO included Luc Greenwood, Paul Newey, Sam Greenwood, Stephen Chidwick, and Mikita Badziakouski.

Jungleman and Illya Trincher backed Phil Ivey at the 2019 WSOP and seek garnished wages

When Phil Ivey finished in 8th place in the2019 WSOP 50K PPC, his winnings were garnished by the Borgata as part of the $10 million he owes to Casino after the edge sorting baccarat scandal. The Rio withheld Ivey's score worth $124,410. His backers, Jungleman and Illya Trincher, are seeking their half of Ivey's score per their staking arrangement.

Sweden's Simon Brandstrom wins 2019 EPT Barcelona Main Event for €1.3 million

After a couple of weeks of nonstop poker action, the 2019 EPT Barcelona came to an end with the conclusion of the Main Event championship. A total of 1,988 runners took part in the €5,300 buy-in event. Simon Brandstrom from Sweden and Hungary's Marton Czuczor agreed to a heads-up money chop. Brandstrom would go on to win the tournament and title along with a first-place prize worth €1,290,166 or approximately $1,420,000 USD.
