Dan Weinman wins 2023 WSOP Main Event for $12.1 million

The 2023 World Series of Poker Main Event finally played down from 10,043 entrants to the last player standing in Las Vegas. Atlanta-based pro Daniel Weinman is the 2023 WSOP Main Event champion and he earned a first-place payday worth $12.1 million. He also snagged a second-career bracelet. Americans finished 1-2-3 in this year's Main Event. Steven Jones was the runner up and he won $6.5 million for second place. Adam Walton won $4 million for a third-place finish.

2023 WSOP: Adam Walton leads Main Event Final Table

The 2023 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas reached a final table with nine players remaining in the hunt for $12.1 million and the coveted special bracelet. Adam Walton from Los Angeles leads the final table with 143.8M in chips. Also still alive are Americans Steven Jones and Dan Weinman, Toby Lewis and Dean Hutchison from the UK, Germany's Jan-Peter Jachtmann, Ukraine's Ruslan Prydryk, Juan Maceiras from Spain, and Daniel Holzner from Italy. The final table resumes on Sunday.

2023 WSOP Day 4 Update: Ryan Tosoc leads final 441

Day 4 of the 2023 WSOP Main Event saw the money bubble burst early on Monday and when they concluded the action, only 441 players survived and were left in the hunt. American pro Ryan Tosoc bagged the chip lead with 5.12M and two other players had stacks over 5M including Mitch Halverson and India's Aditya Systla. Also, John Racener is currently in the Top 10 in chips with 3.7M.

2023 WSOP Main Event: Antonio Mallol Heredia chip leader after Day 3

The 2023 World Series of Poker Main Event continued with Day 3 action on Sunday with both Day2 flights combining for a single field. When Day 3 ended, they got close to the money bubble with 1,517 remaining. Antonio Mallol Heredia from California bagged the chip lead after Day 3 with nearly 1.9M. American pro Chance Kornuth is second overall with 1.88M.

2023 WSOP: Main Event tops 10,043 entrants

It's official. The 2023 World Series of Poker smashed a 17-year-old record when the $10,000 buy-in Main Event Championship passed over 10,000 in entries and settled on 10,043 runners and a prize pool just shy $93.4 million. The top 1507 players will get paid out with $12.1 million set aside to the champion and the top eight places snagging at least a seven-figure payout. American pro Maurice Hawkins bagged the chip lead heading into Day 3.

2023 WSOP Main Event sets new attendance record

The 2023 WSOP Main Event is underway and the first four flights of Day 1 are complete. There's approximately 9,337 entrants in this year's Main Event which broke the attendance record that was set in 2006 with 8,776 runners. Main Event Day 2ABC begins on Friday, and Day 2D is set for Saturday. Nicholas Rigby aka Dirty Diaper bagged the overall lead with 408,800 in chips after a sick run on Day 1D.

2023 WSOP: Chris Brewer adds a second bracelet

Chris Brewer won a second bracelet this summer at the 2023 World Series of Poker when he was the last player standing in WSOP Event #69 $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship. Brewer won his first-career bracelet in the $250,000 High Roller earlier in the series, and he's now cashed in five events for over $5.6 million. Jesse Lonis also won a second bracelet when he shipped Event #71 $50,000 PLO HIGH ROLLER for $2.3 million.

2023 WSOP: Phil Hellmuth wins bracelet #17 in Super Turbo Bounty

Phil Hellmuth was the last player standing in 2023 WSOP Event #72 $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty NL. The Poker Brat earned a score worth $803K and snagged bracelet #17. Phil Ivey advanced to the final table, but he missed out on winning his eleventh bracelet when he busted in sixth place. With 17 bracelets, Hellmuth has six WSOP victories in the last 11 years since he won multiple bracelets in 2021 including the WSOP Europe Main Event in France.
