The Big 20 features a special throwback series on PokerStars to celebrate 20 years of existence. There will be 22 different tournaments with $5.5 million guaranteed prize pools starting November 14 and running through December 5. Each event in The Big 20 will celebrate a different year in PokerStars history and if you dig the Foo Fighters, there's a special VIP experience at stake as well.

It's hard to believe that PokerStars is almost 20 years old. It began in 2001 and within a few years, it help ignite the glorious online poker boom in North America and eventually on seven continents. The Red Spade is now a behemoth in the online poker realm and in the gambling world, but it was a fledgling startup 20 years ago when a poker lover name Isai decided to take a huge leap and create one of the most prestigious and lucrative platforms in the history of internet gaming.
And now in 2021, Isai Scheinberg has been nominated to the Poker Hall of Fame in Las Vegas and we're about to celebrate the 20th anniversary of PokerStars. The folks at Red Spade HQ designed a fun and sensational special tournament that's a throwback series and online festival of poker.
Get ready for The Big 20, which begins on November 14 and running daily through December 5. There will be 22 tournaments with at least one every day. The tournaments have a theme and will celebrate each year in the two-decade life of PokerStars. And 2009 was such a special year (oh how we all miss the gravy days of 2009) gets special treatment with a trio of events.
Tournaments have buy-ins as low as $5 and go as high as $10,300. There's six events with a price tag of $11 or lower, and nine that are $30 and below. If you prefer big ticket affairs, there's a trio of events that are at least $1K and higher with a trio of $1,050 events, one $5,200 and another $10,300.
Special prizes are up for grabs such as Platinum Passes, the Foo Fighters VIP Live Arena experience, EPT packages, UFC tickets, Amsterdam TwitchCon, electric car, luxury watches, dinner at a Michelin eatery, trips to destinations like NYC and Las Vegas.
"We kickstarted our 20th Anniversary with the announcement of our new and improved Rewards program," said Severin Rasset, Managing Director of Poker at PokerStars. "Now, we'd like to thank the PokerStars community with a huge celebratory series, with big guarantees and winning moments. The past 20 years have been an incredible journey, and each tournament has been designed to look back at those special moments and reward our community with some unforgettable prizes. We hope our players enjoy the celebration, and we're looking forward to the next 20 years with them."
The Big 20 also pays homage to Chris Moneymaker. Do not miss the event on November 17 with "2003: Year of Moneymaker" with a special $86 buy-in event which was how much he invested into winning his WSOP Main Event seat, which he parlayed into a bracelet and the 2003 Main Event Championship.
The final event is slated for December 4 for "2020: Year of the Arena". That has a $5,200 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool worth $300,000. The winner also snags a Foo Fighters VIP Live Arena experience, which is fun if you like grungey-arena rock and Dave Ghrol.
