PokerStars decided to combine sports, live sports, and poker all in one format with the newly added Stadium Series. This summer, PokerStars will host a series with $50 million in guaranteed prize pools with 103 events spread out over four weeks starting on 5 July and ending on 2 August. Players will compete in daily heats to see if they qualify for the Sunday finales. The final tables will be broadcast on Twitch. At the end of the Stadium Series, there's the Grand Final on August 2 with a $5,200 buy-in and $5 million guaranteed.

Get ready for the Stadium Series! While the world still recovers from the coronavirus pandemic and the Americas are ravished with the outbreak, everyone is stuck at home and lamenting over the loss of sports. And if some sporting events came back, it's without fans in the crowd. It's been weird watching football matches without drunken fans in the stadium chanting and cheering and getting into fisticuffs with opposing fans.
PokerStars decided to capitalize on the pandemic and try to do something about the lack of sporting entertainment, so the glorious Stadium Series was born.
Behold... poker and sports and the spectacle of the massive crowd in the stadium and announcers going berserk over huge plays, while giving you the play-by-play as you sit at home and sweat the action.
Whether you're a fan of watching poker or love to mix it up at the final tables, PokerStars has a little bit of both with the Stadium Series.
They will host 102 events over a four-week period with three tiers of buy-ins (with a range of prices for all levels of players). The daily events are important because you're really trying to win a seat into the weekly event every Sunday. It's like you have multiple chances a week to advance to the Sunday Finals.
Each ensuing week, the buy-ins for the daily events will raise slightly. By the fourth and final week, it will reach its highest amounts but still have three tiers of buy-ins.
For LOW... Week 1 will be $5.50, Week 2 increase to $11, Week 3 will jump to $22, and Week 5 will be $55.
For MEDIUM, Week 1 will start at $55, Week 2 will increase to $109, Week 3 will bump to $215, and Week 4 will be $530.
For all the ballas out there jostling in the HIGH end of the pool... Week 1 starts with $530, Week 2 increased to $1,050, Week 3 bumps up to $2,100, and Week 4 will be $5,200.
Of course, everyone wants a shot at the last Sunday on August 2. That will have the $5,200 buy-in Grand Final with a $5 million guaranteed prize pool.
Each of the daily events will have coverage just like you see on TV, which is another aspect of the Stadium Series. James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton will provide commentary with cards-up (on a delay of course), so you can sweat the action, or feel like a pro on TV with all your friends and family following along on the action.
