If you cannot get to the Bahamas to play in the live version of the second PokerStars Players Championship aka the 2023 PSPC, then figure out a way to get to Michigan or New Jersey to play in the online poker version of the PSPC otherwise known as the PSPC Online.
The best part is that you do not need $25,000 to play in the PSPC. You only need $250 for a shot at winning the first-ever PSPC Online. Set your calendars for January 13. That's when virtual cards go in the air for the inaugural PSPC Online which runs the remainder of the month through January 30.
The PSPC Online is only open to US-based online poker players in the states of New Jersey or Michigan on PokerStars. It's a historic series which marks the first-ever combined player pool series. The two states joined forces on the first of January, and this is the first series to celebrate the union of the two player pools. This is just the first step in a long-awaited journey.
"It was brilliant to see our communities in Michigan and New Jersey come out in force on January 1st to celebrate the combining of our player pool and enjoy our special New Year's Day events and smash the guarantees," said Severin Rasset, the PokerStars US Managing Director.
"We're now excited to bring players our first multi-state online series and our largest online series to date in the US, where players have the chance to join in the Bahamian fun of the PSPC and play alongside their favourite players as they battle it out on the online tables," added Rasset. "There's plenty more to come for the MI and NJ community and we look forward to exciting and awarding our players in 2023 and beyond."
The PSPC Online Main Event is slated for Sunday January 29, and will be a modest $250 with a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Events will have buy-ins as low as $10. You can gain entry into these PSPC Online events through satellites that cost just a buck. Yup, can't beat a $1 satellite.
Main Event seats can be won through special $2.50 Spin & Go's.
