PokerStars introduced another new series which begins on Sunday, June 23. This one is in conjunction with a UFC promotion called the UFC KO Poker Series with 68 tournaments that all are Progressive Knockouts, including the Sunday Million, which will be a PKO format. Yup, 68 PKOs with no less than seven daily tournaments and buy-ins as low as $11! Players have a shot at winning a free trip to California to see UFC 241 live featuring Cormier vs. Miocic 2 in August.

Who doesn't love the PKO? It's great for players that build a stack and then bust before the money for whatever reasons... variance, donkery, bad beats, stuck in a K-hole, inexperience, over-aggression, bad astrology sign, not enough praying to the poker gods, or a family hex.
At least PKO's spread the wealth around a little bit and awards aggressive players that go in for the kill. The more players you bust, the more PKO bounties you collect. Of course, the deeper you go, the more chances you have to bust more players with significant bounties. On the down side, if you bust too many players then there's a target on your back the size of Texas. I guess that's a good problem to have, right? Means you've been busting skulls.
PokerStars and their partner UFC decided to whip up a cool cross promo called the UFC KO Poker Series with 68 progressive knockout (PKO) events starting on June 23 and running thru June 30. Sunday to Sunday... nonstop PKOs... with no less than seven daily PKO events during this UFC KO Poker Series bonanza.
The Sunday Million is also getting into the UFC PKO action. This weekend's Sunday Milly, aka Event #3, will also have a progressive knockout format in conjunction with the UFC Knockout Series.
This Sunday also boasts a $530 High Roller starting at 12:30. Actually, there will be a daily High Roller with a $530 price tag if you want to push your limits and go swimming with the PKO sharks, or rather, get down and dirty on the mat inside the Octagon with the high-balla fighters.
The UFC KO Poker Series will run for eight days and over two Sundays starting June 23 and concluding on June 30. The UFC KO Poker Series Main Event will go down on the final day with a $109 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool worth $1.5 million.
There's plenty of other cool events such as $22 PLO and the $55 Hyper-Turbo Progressive Total KO, Super-baller $1,050 Turbo, Daily Cool Down Special Edition (with $100K guarantee), and the daily low-frills $11 simple PKO with a $75 guaranteed prize pool. Satellites are running for as low as 11 cents.
You can also win a free trip to UFC 241. Yup, buried the lede there.
PokerStars is giving away three trips to UFC 241 in California: Cormier vs. Miocic 2. The big event goes down on August 17 at the Honda Center in Anaheim. That's in the shadows of Disneyland, by the way.
There's three ways to win. Two involve winning a special All-In Shootout and the other is super cool because it involves the KO master over the duration of the series. The player that records the most knockouts over the UFC KO Poker Series will automatically win a trip to UFC 241! Yup, bust a ton of skulls and get a free ticket to a sick rematch between Cormier vs. Miocic.
The All-In Shootouts occur on July 2 and July 3. You gain a ticket to this AIS special event on July 3 by recording three or more KOs in any single tournament. If you can knockout six players in one tournament, then you always win a ticket to the second All-In Shootout.
Hey, pretty cool eh? Win the AIS or become the PKO master and you can go to UFC 241 in California. Head over to PokerStars for more details.
