
Every May like clockwork, PokerStars hosts the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). During SCOOP, PokerStars becomes the epicenter of tournament poker featuring a wide variety of tournaments with three different buy-in levels, cumulating in the SCOOP Main Event.

The Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is the big tournament series that PokerStars hosts at the end of the Spring. Online poker players from all over the world converge on PokerStars every May to engage in SCOOP festivities. There's a mixed mag of events to cater to a wide range of players, including both amateurs and professionals.

The 2018 SCOOP hosted $110 million in guaranteed prize pools. Every single day of SCOOP had at least one tournament with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. The 2018 SCOOP featured 61 events with three tiers of buy-ins for over 183 total tournaments. These tiers cater to players with all types of bankrolls. The levels are: low, medium, and high.
PokerStars hosts SCOOP tournaments of all types and varieties. The 2018 SCOOP included events such as the run of the mill no-limit hold'em, Progressive Knockout, ZOOM, Hyper-Turbo, PLO8 6-Max, Badugi, NL Omaha 8, PLO, 8-Game, Stud Hi/Lo, 4-Max, 6-Max, Triple Draw, HORSE, 5-card Omaha, and a series of High Roller affairs.
Weekly tournaments like the Super Tuesday and the Sunday Million are incorporated into the SCOOP schedule.
SCOOP Main Event Champions
Several of the top pros in the world have won the SCOOP Main Event. And if you're not a known player, the entire poker world will find out about your poker prowess moments after you ship the SCOOP Main Event Championship.
Among those SCOOP Main Event winners include Talal 'raidalot' Shakerchi and Charlie 'Epiphany77' Carrel. Epiphany77 won the 2017 SCOOP Main Event, while fellow Brit raidalot took down the 2016 SCOOP Main Event.
Carrel won $1.2 million for his victory in the 2017 SCOOP. Shakerchi won $1,468,000 for his victory at the 2016 SCOOP.
The Main Event comes in three different sizes. The High Main Event has a $10,300 price tag. The Medium Main Event costs only $1,050, while the Low Main Event is a modest $109 buy-in.
