The World Series of Poker sent out a few "save the date!" announcements. Call it an early Christmas present. Although the full schedule will not be released until February, the WSOP gave everyone a teaser. The 2017 WSOP kicks off on May 30. It will run thru mid-July and concludes on July 17. The Main Event begins on July 8 and runs until the 17th.
The WSOP Main Event is still the most prestigious event on the entire poker calendar, so mark Saturday, July 8 on your calendar, or in your iPhones, or tell Alexa what's up. There will be three opening flights of the Main Event starting on July 8 and continuing on July 9 and July 10.
“We want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and best wishes for a safe and successful 2017,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart in a press release. “We are busy trying to finalize the entire 2017 WSOP schedule. We anticipate a similar series to last year with a few new wrinkles, but ensuring a broad array of options to satisfy every potential participant.”
