Sit-N-Gos are highly popular tournaments that utilize a single-table format. The player with the most chips wins. The Spin & Go is an innovation by PokerStars that incorporates a three-person SNG with a surprise element of an unknown prize pool determine by a spin before the tournament begins. According to PokerStars, "As soon as a third player registers for your Spin & Go tournament, there will be a random draw to decide how big the tournament prize pool will be. The spinner in the center of the table will display the prize pool to all players."
The prize multipliers are: 2, 4, 6, 10, 25, 120, 240, and 12,000.
Depending on the spin, the pool will be anywhere from 2x to 10,000x. At the minimum, you win double the buy-in.
PokerStars describes it as: "Spin & Go's are fast-paced, 3-Max Hyper-Turbo Sit & Go tournaments, featuring 500 chip starting stacks. Buy-ins range from $0.25 to $1,000 and tournaments have randomly drawn prize pools that will award between two and 12,000 times the buy-in, with prizes of up to $1,000,000 to be won."
Spin & Go is a winner-takes-all format, unless the top 3 tiers of prizes kick in, then the other players share in the final prize pool. The top player banks 80%, while the other two players receive 10% of the prize pool no matter what place they finish in.

PokerStars introduced Spin & Go tournaments for both Texas Hold'em and Omaha.
Spin & Go for NL Texas Hold'em start as low as $0.25 and the biggest tier is $1,000.

PokerStars offers Spin & Go's in a selection of varying buy-ins in both Hold'em and Omaha. PokerStars states, "Regardless of the buy-in, players will start the tournament with 500 chips and will play three-minute levels. Deal making is not possible in Spin & Go's."
The frequency for the top tier of 12,000x is one in a million.
