Poker definition

Step Tournaments

A series of online satellite tournaments with increasing buy-ins that lead to a large prize, typically an entry and/or travel package to a major land-based tournament. Each tournament won gains the player entry into the next “step,” which carries a larger buy-in. Step tournaments enable players to parlay a small investment into potentially an extremely large reward.
