Genting had a vision and game plan to open up the largest casino and resort on the Las Vegas Strip with Resorts World. They teamed up with the Hilton to provide three different hotels and experiences in addition to attracting crypto geeks and dorks to their property by teaming up with the Winklevoss twins' crypto exchange Gemini. When Resorts World opens their doors on June 24, gamblers will be able to access their Gemini crypto wallets at the cage.
Resorts World is the first new casino to open on the Strip in nearly a decade. The massive project had been stuck for over a decade before Genting finally got the go ahead to construct a futuristic gambling paradise and complex at the north end of Las Vegas Blvd. The gaming floor is over 117K square feet and also includes a state-of-the-art sportsbook.
With three hotels, Resorts World will boast 3,500 rooms spread out over a trio of brands including the Las Vegas Hilton at Resort World, The Conrad, and first-ever LXR-infused hotel in the USA with 236 luxury suites for super high-rollers and ballers. Who will be throwing the first massive party in the 7,000 square foot suite?
Resorts World will have over 40 dining and food options including a specialized food court that will resemble street food vendors in Asia. This was designed to attract gamblers from Asia with additional delicacies from Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.
There's also a gigantic pool complex with seven pools sprawling over nearly six acres that also boasts a day club. Oh, and if you always wanted an infinity pool in Sin City, then you'll get one at Resorts World.
There will be underground access to the Las Vegas Convention Center, which should boost interest during when big-time conventions return.
The D Las Vegas in downtown Vegas became the first casino in Las Vegas to accept cryptocurrency from gamblers who wanted to convert their crypto to chips. No more hassles dealing with banks and bank wires to the cage.
But now, the crypto craze has officially invaded the Strip. The new casino and resort offers up the perfect opportunity to embrace the world of gambling and cryptocurrency.
"As the first ground-up resort development on the Strip in more than a decade, Resorts World Las Vegas is committed to integrating innovative technology conveniences across the resort to enhance the overall guest journey," said Scott Sibella, the President of Resorts World. "By partnering with Gemini, a leader in cryptocurrency exchange, we are taking another step toward providing progressive guest experience solutions for today's Las Vegas traveler."
"We are incredibly excited to work with Resorts World Las Vegas, the first casino on the Las Vegas Strip to partner with a crypto platform and explore integrating crypto into their guest experience," said Tyler Winklevoss, CEO of Gemini. "Whether it's the ability for their customers to use cryptocurrency at Resorts World Las Vegas or convert dollars into crypto, being one of the first to support crypto is a great way to meet the needs of the next generation of customers and provide a 21st century experience."
