Poker definition

VPIP is a term that originated from PokerTracker data-mining software. It refers to the percentage of time a player voluntarily puts money into the pot-preflop. A high VPIP indicates a loose player, while a low VPIP indicates a tight player. VPIP is sometimes referred to as “VP$IP.”
