
Every September, PokerStars hosts the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), a massive series of tournaments with millions of dollars in guaranteed prize pools. Buy-ins for WCOOP come in three different tiers to make this series access to players of all bankroll sizes.

World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) is one of the most prestigious tournaments series in poker -- both live and online. PokerStars hosts WCOOP every September. For the majority of the month, players from all over the world are competing for millions of dollars in guaranteed prize pools.
The winner of the WCOOP Main Event often become the next big start in poker. Previous WCOOP Main Event winners included Fedor 'CrownUpGuy' Holz, and Yevgeniy 'Jovial Gent' Timoshenko.

For the 2017 WCOOP, PokerStars offered $60 million in guaranteed prize pools. WCOOP concisted of 80 events with three different buy-in levels, for a total of 240 tournaments.
Buy-in levels are sectioned off as low, medium, and high.
Steven 'SvZff' van Zadelhoff won the 2017 WCOOP Main Event for a score worth $1.6 million. Yeah, the winner of the anchor event will win at least seven-figures.

The WCOOP Main Event winner also gets overnight fame. Some of the biggest names in poker have won the WCOOP Main Event including... Jonas 'llJaYJaYll' Lauck, Fedor 'CrownUpGuy' Holz, and Yevgeniy 'Jovial Gent' Timoshenko.
Holz's win in 2014 marked the beginning of an epic run -- in both live and online -- that is considered one of the greatest runs in the history of poker. Holz first made a name for himself with WCOOP.
