Get ready for the first ever WPT Online Series over at partypoker. It's surprising that two of the marquee brands in the poker world have get to synergize and join forces. While the coronavirus pandemic continues to ravish the world, there's plenty of poker to be played to help pass the down time. The World Poker Tour and partypoker created a special online festival of poker known simply as the WPT Online series.

The inaugural WPT Online Series began on May 3 and will run through May 20. In total, there will be 40 different events and no less than $35 million in guaranteed prize pools.

The Main Event has a $3,200 buy-in plus a guaranteed prize pool worth $5 million. There's a special treat set aside to the champion with a seat into the season ending WPT Tournament of Champions. It was supposed to take place at Aria Casino in Las Vegas, but those precise details are fuzzy. But rest assured, when the TOC finally takes place, the Main Event champ at the WPT Online Series will earn a seat worth $15,000.

The Main Event kicks off with Day 1A at 19:00 CET on Sunday, May 10. You can wait until the Sunday after that to play in Day 1B on Sunday, May 17. There's two more flights on May 18 with flight Day 1C at 13:00 CET and turbo-charged flight Day 1D at 18:00 CET.

"Play in one or play them all!" said partypoker.

With $35 million in guarantees, there are at least 14 tournaments with a prize pool of at least a cool million.

"It is an honour for us to host the first-ever WPT Online Series," said Tom Waters, Managing Director of partypoker. "We are always looking for ways to bring exciting, high profile MTTs to our players and the World Poker Tour is up there amongst the most prestigious brands in poker. The online festival promises to be huge and with a WPT Tournament of Champions seat on offer, it's a really exciting opportunity for partypoker players."

"We are very excited to have the first WPT Main Tour event on partypoker!" added Hermance Blum, VP of WPT Europe. "It will award a $15,000 WPT Tournament of Champions presented by Baccarat Crystal seat as well as a replica of the WPT Champions Cup trophy and all the benefits of being a WPT Champions Club member!"

The WPT Online Series will also include the online debuts for the WPT500 and WPTDeepStacks.

The WPT500, with its $2 million guaranteed prize pool, has ten (10) Day 1s. Yes, that's correct and not a typo. There will be at least ten flights for the WPT500 starting on May 4. And on May 11, there's two different opening flights to conclude the ten-flight madness.

The WPTDeepStacks also has ten opening flights but that has a $2 million guaranteed prize pool. The WPTDeepStacks has a $1,050 buy-in and it begins May 11 and runs through May 19.

Other notable balla events on the WPT Online Series schedule includes a $5,200 buy-in PLO High Roller for Event #6, the $5,200 High Roller for Event #9, $10K High Roller for Event #11, the glorious WPT Duper High Roller with a $25,500 price tag for Event #14, and two more high rollers to cap off the series with Event #27 $5K High Roller and Event #29 $10K High Roller.

There's a 6-Max Hyper Turbo, 6-Max Bounty Hunter, PLO8, 6-Max Hyper, Turbo Bounty, Superstack, and a Heads-Up event with a 256 player cap.

Event #16 is a special $500 buy-in Ladies only event (with a Mini Ladies event for $50+5).
