Zinno for four? He's close. It's down to six players at the WPT Amsterdam at the swanky Holland Casino. American Anthony Zinno will be trying to win his fourth career WPT crown. He's currently tied at three for most titles with Gus Hansen, Carlos Mortensen, and Chino Rheem. Coming into the final table, Zinno is third overall in chips and trails leader Andjelko Andrejevic. First place pays €200,000. Action resumes at 2pm local time.
Smoke 'em if you got 'em! The WPT's latest stop is the ledendary Holland Casino in Amsterdam, which means plenty of has-addled poker players converged on Amsterdam for a week of hazy poker. Despite the distractions, Anthony Zinno managed to make another final table on the WPT. In a short amount of time , Zinno has taken the poker world by storm after he ditched a career as a lawyer and proceeded to win 3 WPT titles and 1 WSOP bracelet. And he's about to snatch up a fourth title. He faded most of the 318-player field in Amsterdam. Only five other players stand in his way, including chip leader Serbian Andjelko Andrejevic.
Zinno is currently tied for most WPT victories at three. He shares that distinction with Gus Hansen, Carlos Mortensen, and Chino Rheem. Zinno won his first WPT title in 2013 at the Borgata in Atlantic City. Last year, he shipped two more -- Fallsview and the L.A. Poker Classic. If he binks this event in Amsterdam, Zinno will be in a class all by himself. Even if he doesn't win...he'll still have plenty of other chances. I mean, how long will it tale for him to win five or six WPT titles, or maybe another bracelet or two?
Zinno is the real deal and you know he's going to bring his A-game on Saturday. Should be a great final table in Amsterdam. First place pays out €200,000 or $228K…but you know Zinno doesn't care about the cash…he wants the title! Okay, the cash is pretty cool too. That'll buy you a shit-ton of hash!
