German pro George Danzer won the Stud Hi/Lo Championship for a second time since 2014 at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas on Monday night. Danzer faded a difficult final table and took down Event #43 $10,000 Seven-card Stud Hi/Lo Championship. The victory marked a fourth career win for Danzer at the WSOP. He's now tied with the Italian Pirate Max Pescatori for most bracelets (4) by a European player.
Chalk up another winner for the Euros! George Danzer made Germany proud with another bracelet victory. Danzer won the 10K Stud 8 title for a second time in two years. Danzer also now has four bracelets and tied with Max Pescatori for most wins by a European player.
Meanwhile, the MONSTER STACK will hit its fourth day of action on Tuesday, but there are still 26 players remaining in Event #40 and they might need an additional day to determine a winner. David ‘The Dragon' Pham is still alive along with TJ Cloutier! Yeah, I know… TJ is still alive and thriving.
Event #40 MONSTER STACK $1,500 NL – Day 4
Action heads into Day 4 of the MONSTER STACK and there's still a bunch of players left trying to play down to a final table. This will probably go one more day, but Day 4 is gonna be a battle royale. First place in this deep-stacked event is $1,120,196. Not too shabby. The overall prize pool was over $9.3M.
David ‘The Dragon' Pham** is the chipleader with 26 to go and he's sitting on nearly 9M in chips. Cody Pack is the closest to The Dragon in second. Two old-time legends are still alive: TJ Cloutier and Don O'Dea. Also still alive... Matt Affleck.
** As our friends at Wicked Chops Poker used to say: "NOT a real dragon!"

Event #43 $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo Championship – Final Results

Germany's George Danzer is a stud in both online games and live action. He's a true hybrid poker player who can dominate any realm – virtual or real. Danzer's heroic abilities and his bad-ass Mohawk were on display in Las Vegas when he won the Stud 8 10K Championship.... again. This latest win marks two Stud 8 titles since 2014. This bracelet is his fourth overall. Only Max Pescatori won as many as Danzer and the two are in the lead for most bracelets won by a European player.
Danzer survived a stacked final table too. Danzer beat Randy Ohel heads up for the win. Justin Bonomo was dunzo in third, while E-Tay's magical run ended in fourth. Todd Brunson mustered up a fifth place finish, Eli Elezra busted in sixth, Scott Clements took seventh, while David Grey was the first player out at the final table in eighth place.
"It was the craziest final table I've been to that's for sure," Danzer said in a post-game interview.
David Benyamine busted out just before the final table in 10th place.
